February 24 (Sunday)– For this Valentine’s month, Shimmyshowcase is “All About Love” as coordinators Saviya and Draca lead you down a path to romance with guest dancers Kamar, Dalilah, Zarina, Reba, Jayel, JJ, and Yasmin.  Please join us at Viento y Agua Coffee House at 5:30 pm to see these amazing dancers.  Remember—we must start on time, so plan to arrive early so you can get a seat!    

SHIMMY SHOWCASE takes place at Viento y Agua Coffee House in Long Beach at 4007 East 4^th Street; 562-434-1182.

SATURDAY March 23  - Shimmyshowcase celebrates our  10^th ANNIVERSARY!    Mark your calendars now, for your Shimmyshowcase coordinators are planning a special evening.  In recognition of our milestone anniversary, Shimmyshowcase celebrates “A Night at the Oscars” featuring  past and present Shimmyshowcase coordinatorsSaviya, Ilana, Amber, Draca and Jannah plus invited guest dancers who will perform to music featured in film.  However, the real “stars” on this evening will be our loyal audience who has supported us for the past ten years!  Given the success of last year’s “Steampunk” night, when many in our audience came in full Steampunk regalia, we encourage our supporters to dress up in your Oscar finery for prizes will be awarded to the most glamorous, striking and adventurous attire.  Whether your style is 40’s glam, or more avant-garde, we hope you’ll join in the fun by dressing in your Oscar best.   It all gets underway at 7:00 p.m. at Viento y Agua, so be sure to arrive early so you can show off your finery.
