You may not have noticed, but back when SiriusXM Radio previewed Dave Matthews Band’s new album, Away From the World, something was different. The version of “Drunken Soldier” that aired at that time isn’t the same as the recording on the album. This “Drunken Soldier” alternate version has several slight variations, most notably when Dave Matthews sings ”Don’t let any fool make you something you’re not” instead of ”Don’t waste time trying to be something you’re not.” The outro also has less singing than on the final product.
