Hurricane Sandy’s aftermath on the New Jersey shore

Dave Matthews Band’s Nov. 30 concert in East Rutherford, New Jersey will benefit recovery efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

The band has pledged $1 million to its Bama Works Sandy Relief Fund, which benefits the Community Foundation of New Jersey. All proceeds from the DMB New Jersey concert, including ticket and merchandise sales, plus VIP packages and suites in the Izod Center, will go to the fund.

Hurricane Sandy devastated the New Jersey coast and New York City area in late October, killing 121 people and causing an estimated $50 billion in damage in the United States.

Tickets to the DMB Hurricane Sandy benefit concert are on sale now, as are VIP packages and arena suites. Fans can also donate $10 to the Bama Works Sandy Relief Fund by texting “BamaSandy” to 85944.

DMB’s New Jersey concert will kick off its 2012 fall tour, which runs through Dec. 22 in Philadelphia.
