Yukon Kornelius, Stefan Lessard’s all-star cover band, is coming back.
The band will headline FestEVOL, a traveling music and sports event, at Okemo Mountain Resort in Ludlow, Vermont on March 16. There is also a FestEVOL scheduled for Crested Butte, Colorado on March 9, but the music lineup for that event has not been announced. FestEVOL bills itself as “a unique lifestyle experience combining mountain sports, live music, innovative natural brands and a sustainably focused ‘eco-village.’”
The Yukon Kornelius Okemo Mountain FestEVOL will be the band’s first performance since Dec. 10, 2011 in Vail, Colorado. Yukon Kornelius consists of Stefan, Barenaked Ladies’ Ed Robertson, Guster’s Adam Gardner and drummer Eric Fawcett, plus special guests. Musicians such as Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider and Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready have played with the band, as have actor Jason Biggs and even DMB members Rashawn Ross and Boyd Tinsley.
UPDATE (Jan. 8, 12 p.m.): More details about the show are up on Yukon Kornelius’ website. Tickets will go on sale Friday, and there are four confirmed special guests: Fuel’s Brett Scallions, Dispatch’s Brad Corrigan and O.A.R.’s Marc Roberge and Jerry DePizzo.
