The Dave Matthews Band Warehouse has reversed course on its new, unpopular ticketing policy.

The DMB fan community was up in arms over the new Warehouse ticket policy, which took away the option to make all-or-nothing requests for good seats. Fans feared they would get stuck with lawn seats they didn’t want and would have a hard time reselling those tickets at face value. More than 250 people signed an online petition opposing the ticket policy changes, and many others wrote emails and called the Warehouse to voice their displeasure.

This morning, as the Warehouse ticket request period opens for two April DMB concerts, fans will once again have the option to request certain price levels of seats or to accept the best available tickets at any price level. The wording on the fan club’s actual ticket policy now reads: “Members will have the opportunity to opt out of Best Available and request one specific ticket level. Opting out can greatly diminish your chances of being selected for tickets.”

Further changes to the policy may be on the way; an AntsMarching.org member said he received an email from the Warehouse that said “we will make some modifications for the summer tour that will be included in the guidelines for the summer tour.”

UPDATE (Jan. 23, 7:08 p.m.): The fan who started the online petition against the Warehouse ticket policy says the Warehouse has terminated her membership for violating its privacy policy.
